http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/708/708431p1.html

This article was put up then immediately taken down on IGN. The supposed ps3 exclusive assassins creed the demo is ACTUALLY running on an xbox360. They are using a 360 to show off graphics technology and demos for a ps3 game.. one they've YET to announce for the 360. Thats pretty shady right there seeing as how the 360's gpu is being used to show off graphics technology for a ps3 exclusive when what you see running on a 360 wont be what it will look like on a ps3 which has a inferior gpu? Why couldn't they have it running on a ps3 dev kit? Pretty shady advertising in favor of sony if you ask me and IGN had the story taken down why am i not surprised?

The 360 gpu has 2 times the pixel shader units and 6 times the vertex shader units it has a much more efficient architecture thanks to the unified shader architecture. 95-99% efficient with 4XAA on and quite possibly the biggest deal is the fact that the 360 has more than 5 times the video memory bandwidth 256GB/s compared to the ps3 gpu's 48GB/s. There will be many things capable during an actual playable game thanks to the 360s that wont be able to be done on the ps3's gpu and they are using the 360's gpu's advantages to make their ps3 exclusive look good at E3??? You've got to be joking ubisoft is the last developer I'd expect to see such a thing from, but alas its happening.

This is the article they removed on IGN

E3 2006: Xbox 360 Assassinated
Ubisoft Montreal's Prince of Persia influenced action game may come to Xbox 360.
by Douglass C. Perry
May 12, 2006 - Ubisoft Montreal revealed its next incredible project, Assassins: Creed, exclusively for PlayStation 3 at E3 this year, much to the delight of Sony console fans and to the dismay of Microsoft consoles fans.

A third-person action game in the vein of Prince of Persia, Ubisoft Montreal's newest title shows off the next generation with fantastic texture work, early but promising animations, and newly envisioned levels of Prince/Spider-Men climbing/traversing. But the game, officially, is strictly exclusive to PlayStation 3. Ubisoft officially would not comment on a possible Xbox 360 version.

According to sources close to the company, however, there are potential plans for an Xbox 360 version at Assassins: Creed sometime in 2007. Additionally, Microsoft sources who asked not to be mentioned by name, claimed the demo, hidden behind closed doors at E3, was running on an Xbox 360 using a third-party USB PlayStation controller. The game system was hidden in a stand covered by a sheet. Again, Ubisoft officials would not comment.

We'll have more soon.

Instead of that article this is what you now see.

Speaks for itself doesn't it? Microsoft source say this. Major Nelson says that. Wow, I'm beginning to think that Microsoft is scared. Why would they be... rolleyes.gif

And "third party USB PS controller"? Riiight.

Edit: LOL, I just realized you were the OP, optaviusx. We're destined to clash, aren't we? En guarde!
