Microsoft has revealed that it considers digital means the future of home entertainment, and not Blu-Ray disc. This statement comes in the wake of controversy over Lost Planet 2. Capcom recently revealed that the Xbox360 version of the game had content removed due to the size restrictions of the DVD format. Director of Xbox and Entertainment at Microsoft Stephen McGill said “We have no plans to adopt [a] Blu-Ray drive for the Xbox 360. In fact, the future of home entertainment started last autumn when Xbox 360 became the first and only console to offer instant-on 1080p streaming HD movies.” Looks like no Blu-Ray folks.
