Unless you live on Mars in a cave with your hands over your ears and also are blind, you have heard of Blizzard. If for no other reason than World of Warcraft is enjoyed by something like .01% of the world’s population — 11 million people. Blizzard has had hit after hit on the PC, but many people ask, why no love for consoles? Well, Blizzard claims that they do not consider a game’s platform when they first begin to develop new titles. Blizzard simply puts the game on whatever platform is best suited to it when the development reaches a stage where a platform is required. I think this is only a half-truth, as Blizzard had a console game called Starcraft: Ghost in the works for years, which ended up on three different consoles before it was ultimately scrapped. This seems to indicate that platform is a bit more important than Blizzard says, but who knows.
